Movie Review: Domino
Boos:
- The first hour of the film seemed to be a little dragging. It used the flashback-flashback-flashforward approach and somehow, it seemed to lack the excitement and mystery that Memento had.
- Had to keep reminding myself that Domino was not played by Natalie Portman. (For some reason, I just can't picture Natalie Portman other than that little girl with the potted plant in The Professional.)
- It feels like a guy's fantasy movie, complete with the gangsta soundtrack and Beverly Hills 90210 bashing. I mean it's based on a true story, but I'd really like to know which parts are really based on the true story.
- Great production design, some bits are Tarantino-ish.
- All hell just broke loose at the second hour of the movie.
